1. Make sure you make a strong case for change. Did you do your homework/research?
2. Challenge your own recommendations. Remember to look at your proposal with a critical eye before you present it to others.
3. Look at your change proposal from their point of view. What is in it for them and their departments to change?
4. Try to anticipate how they will react to your proposal. More than likely this is not the first time they engaged in a supply chain change.
5. Don’t be discouraged if your proposal gets rejected or pushed back. You may just need to provide more information or state your case better.
6. However the outcome, always thank the person or committee who entertained your proposal. Regardless of whether you agree with them or not, we must always be professionals.
